New Fantasyland Update: Classic Meet & Greet at Pete’s Silly Sideshow

One of the bigger curiosities about the New Fantasyland expansion has been what the Walt Disney Imagineers were planning to do with the two big-top tents (left over from Mickey's Toontown Fair) in the Storybook Circus area.  Well they've given us an answer, for at least one of the tents.  One tent will house Pete’s Silly Sideshow character meet & greet, a place where guests can meet some of their favorite Disney characters in their "Circus Star" personas.

Once inside the tent, we'll be given two lines to choose from: one leads to Minnie Magnifique (Minnie Mouse as a circus star) and Madame Daisy Fortuna (Daisy Duck as a fortuneteller), and the other line takes you to see The Great Goofini (Goofy as a daredevil stunt pilot) and The Astounding Donaldo (Donald Duck as a snake charmer).

Of course this poses the question, "What about Mickey Mouse?"  Mickey will continue to greet guests in his current location at Town Square Theater on Main Street, U.S.A.

WDI has not released whether or not Pete himself will be available for pictures and autographs at his own Sideshow.  I would think the second tent would be well used to house the more dastardly characters, such as Pete.

No opening dates have been set for this section yet, but I would assume since it seems like just an interior decorating job (no construction necessary) that it would be opening around the "Holiday Season" like the majority of the New Fantasyland.
