Apparently WWE has let the trademark of the three letter term "ECW" expire. It has already been scooped up by a company in New York, specifically to be used for wrestling.
That being said "Extreme Championship Wrestling" will always be a property of WWE. The company from New York will only be able to use the 3 letters.
Like I said, it's not the craziest story I've ever read, but it's just kind of odd that they would do that.
