Walt Disney World Reopenings & Closings (for refurbishment)

There has been one big reopening and a few upcoming closings for refurbishment around Walt Disney World.

Let's start with the big reopening...  After six month of refurbishing Big Thunder Mountain Railroad has reopened with a couple changes.  As you approach the Frontierland attraction, you'll notice that the Fast Pass and Stand-By entrances have been switched.  The Stand-By queue has been lengthened by quite a bit leaving open the possibility of additional props to be added to the waiting area.  I'm looking forward to taking a trip on the Railroad myself, but I've read from those that have rode it since the reopen and the consensus is that the ride is much smoother.

Next up, a Magic Kingdom "Opening Day" attraction will be shutting down this fall.  The Country Bear Jamboree is set to close for refurbishment September 1st through October 17, 2012.

As far as restaurants around the World getting a refresh, you can expect the Hoop Dee Doo Musical Revue at Fort Wilderness to be closing on October 1st and their shooting for a New Year's Eve reopening.  The Yachtsman Steakhouse at Disney's Yacht Club Resort should be closed for about a month, August 25 through September 15.  Lastly we head over to the France Pavilion at EPCOT, the word is Bistro de Paris will be staying closed through October.  If you have reservations at the Bistro they're more then likely going to be transferred over to Chefs du France, which is going to be the site of this year's French Regional Lunches during the EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival.
