New Fantasyland Update: Prince Eric’s Castle

One of the coolest things about the New Fantasyland expansion, and one of the aspects I'm most looking forward to seeing when I visit the Magic Kingdom this fall, is that Walt Disney Imagineering (WDI) is adding two brand new Disney castles... Beast’s Castle, which will be the home to Be Our Guest Restaurant, and Prince Eric’s Castle, which will serve as the backdrop to the Under the Sea - Journey of The Little Mermaid attraction.


While we have been able to catch glimpses of this castle through the construction process, this is the first look at Prince Eric's castle in it's completed state.

In classic WDI fashion Prince Eric’s Castle is utilizing the forced perspective technique, just like they did with Beast’s Castle (CLICK HERE for the detailed post on the forced perspective used on Beast's Castle), which will make the structure appear much larger than it actually is.

The more pictures and information that come out regarding the New Fantasyland expansion just makes me more and more excited for it all to finally open, and especially excited for my upcoming fall trip to Walt Disney World so I can experience it all for myself.
